Where does KhabenKoi's information come from?
Restaurant locations and details start from OpenStreetMap, the open map anyone can edit. We add ratings, menus and summaries of what people post in Dhaka's Facebook food groups, and every piece of information shows where it came from and when. Spot something wrong? Every restaurant page has a “Report a problem” button, and we read every report.

What can I type in the search box?
Anything you'd say out loud: “pan asian in banani”, “kacchi dhanmondi”, a dish, or a restaurant's name. We pick out the area and cuisine and search the rest as a name.
Can I search in Bangla?
Area and cuisine names work in Bangla and Banglish — “ধানমন্ডি”, “কাচ্চি”, “boshundhora”. A full Bangla interface is coming.
Which areas do you cover?
Gulshan, Banani, Dhanmondi, Uttara and Bashundhara R/A in depth, with more of Dhaka being added.
What do the ৳ signs mean?
Typical spend per person: ৳ under 500, ৳৳ 500–1,000, ৳৳৳ 1,000–2,000, ৳৳৳৳ over 2,000.
Where do restaurant details come from?
Locations, contact details and opening hours start from OpenStreetMap. Ratings come from Google, and menus from restaurants' own pages. Every detail shows its source and date.
Why doesn't a restaurant have a rating yet?
We only show ratings we actually have — we never estimate them. Ratings are being added area by area.
How do I report wrong information?
Open the restaurant's page and use “Report a problem”. Tell us what's wrong, for example that it has closed or moved.
A restaurant is missing. Can I add it?
Yes — use “Suggest a place” at the top of any page.
Which reviews do you show?
Summaries of public posts in Dhaka food groups on Facebook that mention a restaurant, with a link back to each original post.
Do you show reviewers' names?
No. We don't store or display names or profile links — only the post, its date and the group it was posted in.
I want my post removed.
Use “Report a problem” on the restaurant's page and include the post link. We remove it within 72 hours.
How do you know which restaurant a post is about?
We match the names people use, including nicknames and Bangla spellings. When we're unsure, a person checks before the post appears.
Does a listing cost anything?
No. Listings are free, and there are no paid placements.
How do I correct my restaurant's details?
Send us the correct details from the For restaurants page.
Can I add my menu?
Yes — send a link or photo of your current menu and we'll add it with today's date.
Can I remove a review?
Reviews are diners' own posts, so we don't remove them on request. If a post is about a different restaurant, report it and we'll fix the match.
